Trampoline Time!

To thank LA for being such a wonderful big sister, Wade gave LA a trampoline!!!  She has had so much fun jumping on it and we have spent hours upon hours in the backyard playing.  She also has a new picnic table. She is one happy little girl!

Uncle Nate come in town when we got home from the hospital and he entertained Livy Anne ALL WEEKEND LONG!  It was a wonderful blessing to have him here!

I love the curly hair flying everywhere.  Of course now she has perfected her jump and can get way higher!  There are lots of screams of delight coming from our backyard every afternoon :)

Wade is here!

We were admitted to the hospital at 5:00 AM on April 25th and I was wheeled into the operating room around 7:00 AM.

Last "before" picture

The c-section went pretty well - except that I got nauseous during the surgery.  I was trying really hard to focus on my breathing but it didn't help that I couldn't feel the lower half of my body!

Wade Bradford was born at 7:44 AM -  a happy and healthy boy!

As soon as Livy Anne walked into the room she asked, "who is that?"  Of course she wanted to climb into the bed with me and be as close to Wade as possible.  At this point, I took an impromptu nap - they gave me extra medicine to help with the nausea and it made me really sleepy.

What a sweetheart!
NEEDING to be near momma - and showing off her hot pink toenails!

I love how you can see me and LA in the background of this picture

Livy Anne stayed at Honey and Poppy's house while we were at the hospital.  She came up and visited during the daytime.  The day we were discharged she stayed with us all day and ended up taking a nap with Wade... too precious.  She fell asleep with her hand on Wade's head.
First family picture - being discharged from the hospital.
We made it home.  Livy Anne immediately put her "baby brother" doll with her really baby brother.
Wade had a bit of jaundice that we had to keep an eye on.  We worked on taking sun breaks outside and I fed him every 2 hours during the daytime.  By day 5, he was below the danger levels so we were in the clear.

Casper

Livy Anne loves dancing to Justin Bieber's "Baby."  She changed the words from "baby baby baby oh" to "have a baby baby baby oh."  I guess that made more sense to her!

Anyway, Zac introduced Casper to Livy Anne.  Casper is a friendly ghost who lives on our street (I choose to have NO PART in this activity).  In this video she goes over to shake Casper's hand and get him to start dancing with her.  Hilarious!

Ode to a baby boy

I made a wreath to welcome baby boy Thompson home - it's mostly blue... but I couldn't do it without a touch of purple :)

The reason I'm wearing this dress in most of the last few blog pics is because it fits!  That has become my newest (and only) criteria :)

Family Pic - Just the 3 of us

Last family pic before baby brother arrives! We didn't plan on coordinating but we all seem to match :)

Loving on sweet baby brother.  LA has really enjoyed kissing my tummy and feeling baby brother kick back.  She thinks his hiccups are HILARIOUS!  We like talking about all the things she will teach baby brother.  On this same train of thought, she has started talking about what she will do when she is a grown-up - drive a car, straighten her hair, and her favorite... "When I'm a grown-up and you and Daddy are small, I will be the boss!" Oh, this sweet child:)

Momma Daughter Pedicure

LA and I had our toenails done this afternoon.  LA picked out neon pink and she stuck to it.  We thought over a bunch of different pinks, but she kept coming back to this one.  When the woman got out the clippers LA said, "she is trying to cut me!"  So, we didn't do the trimming of the nails just the painting (and re-painting once they got messed up).  All in all, we had a really great time and plan to make it a occasional momma daughter tradition.
